Opening of Duoji máttut – Vætnoen maadtoe – Duoje máddoinformation

The Luleå Biennial is collaborating with Sameslöjdsstiftelsen Sámi Doudji on an exhibition that seeks to acknowledge duodji objects in themselves, as well as the ways that traditional Sami crafts relate to specific landscapes and contexts.

Gather around Sami stitches with Anna-Stina Svakko

Sami craft master Anna-Stina Svakko invites us to a meeting with Sami stitches. Through images and stories she inspires us to try them for ourselves. With natural materials such as wool and silk, combined with respect for traditional knowledge, we gather for a nice time together with Sami inspired embroidery. Materials will be available for purchase on site.

Take the opportunity to visit Berits Halmmuseum at the Sörbyn Sundsnäs Homestead Museum. Visitors can experience the unique collection of craft works by Berit Berin, a small selection of which are on display as part of the biennial exhibition at Havremagasinet.
